Surgutneftegas to start geological exploration in Irkutsk region

The Government of the Irkutsk region and Surgutneftegas OJSC have agreed on the long-term cooperation. The agreements were reached at the Saint-Petersburg forum. It is about the realization of joint projects of geological exploration works in the Irkutsk region, development of new deposits of hydrocarbons and a number of infrastructure projects.

However, no information was announced concerning certain projects and investment. Surgutneftegas continually said that it plans to expand its resource base in the Eastern Siberia.
