Output of light oil products at Russian refineries to reach 80% by 2020

Russia expects the completion of a number of projects for the construction of refining facilities by 2020.
As a result, the depth of processing is expected to grow to 96%, and the output of light oil products will reach 75-80%, deputy chairman of Gazprom, general director of Gazprom Export ,Alexander Medvedev reported at the 21st World Petroleum Congress.

According to him, a large-scale program of upgrade of refining capacity at Russian plants is close to completion.

"Russia switched to production of modern fuels with low content of impurities under the Euro-5 standard. With renewal of their truck fleets Russian refineries will develop their production and will fully comply with the new standards,"- said Alexander Medvedev.
