Naftogaz: the EU investors express interest in the GTS operator creation.

The investors from Europe and the European Commission have shown interest in participation in the creation of the operating company of the Ukrainian GTS , Andrew Kobolev, the head of "Naftogaz", stated at a briefing on Monday, RIA Novosti informs.

The Cabinet of Ministers in Ukraine initiates the amendments to several laws that allow the government to create a transmission system operator of the country in which the investors from the U.S. and the EU will be able to get 49%. The bill was submitted to the Verhovnaya Rada for consideration, but the consideration of this issue was delayed due to the necessity to finalize the document. The amendments proposed by the Cabinet provide that the operator will have the right on "control and/or a concession or lease of the main gas pipelines and the underground storage facilities".
