Freight one and Severstal sign contract on raw material delivery and pickup of cargo

“Freight one” and CJSC “Severstal-Balakovo Long Product Mill” (part of Severstal) signed a long-term service agreement on raw material delivery and the pickup of the end products from the enterprise. Press-service states.

Under the contract Freight one will withdraw about 70% of the end product from the plant and supply raw materials to the enterprise. The Saratov branch of Freight one will transport up to 30 thousand tons of rolled steel and up to 20 thousand tons of ferrous steel scrap a month.

The cargo goes in open wagons from Balakovo station of the Volga rail way (Saratov region), located in close proximity to the plant, to the recipient of goods in Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

CJSC Severstal Balakovo Long Product Mill is a 100% affiliate of OJSC “Severstal”. The plant in the Balakovo district (Saratov region) was put in operation in late 2013. The production capacity of the plant makes up 1 million ton of rolled steel a year.
