The base for construction of Power of Siberia gas pipeline is created in the Irkutsk region

This summer, Gazprom will create a single logistics center in Ust-Kut for the acceptance and delivery of equipment and materials that are necessary for the construction of the Chayandinskoye field in Yakutia. This is a part of the first phase of the construction of the Power of Siberia gas transportation system. It’s planned to bring large-diameter pipes for the gas pipeline's construction in July. And in the winter, the construction companies will be relocated to the most inaccessible areas of the future works.

Gazprom’s CEO ,Alexei Miller noted that almost immediately after signing of the contract with China the company intensified its work on cthe reation of necessary gas production, gas transportation and gas processing facilities. Particularly, the project documentation on the first section of the gas transportation system - from the Chayandinskoye field to Lensk is almost completed.
