Gas prices in Europe, which are currently at a minimum level in this season for the past five years, may fall even lower against the background of possible reduction in demand from the Ukraine, which will prefer the cheaper Russian gas, the Bloomberg writes.
Previously Naftogaz Ukrainy’s director of business development Yuri Vitrenko told the agency that the company might reduce the volume of purchases of reverse gas from Europe through Slovakia by 30% as compared with January delivery and to stop imports from Poland and Hungary, as the price of Russian gas became more competitive.
