The world largest oil company Rosneft tries to put competitive pressure on Gazprom at the market. Probably, the recent claims of Rosneft’s management are connected with this fact. However Rosneft is still far from shale gas production.

The Alpary company analyst A. Kokoreva states that Rosneft does not keep in secret anymore its intention to put competitive pressure on Gazprom at the national and international markets and takes the corresponding measures. This year several gas contracts expire in Gazprom, and Rosneft has all the chances to get the share.
