Reservoirs for new cleaning units Biosphere being installed at Moscow oil refinery plant

​The Moscow oil refinery plant has started to install steel reservoirs PBC-1000 for new biological cleaning units Biosphere.

The construction of Biosphere is one of the key projects of the 2nd stage of modernization of the Moscow oil refinery plant held by Gazprom Neft since 2011. After the launch of a new unit planned for 2017, the efficiency of cleaning of waste water of the enterprise will grow to 99% which is a very high result for the best European oil refineries. By means of application of the multi-stage cleaning system, the Moscow oil refinery plant will reduce water consumption by 2.5 times. Up to 75% of the used water will be returned to the production cycle.

Vertical reservoirs PBC-1000 with the volume of 1,000 cubic m are meant for the preliminary preparation of waste water. They are designed and produced by the Samara plant of boiler-auxiliary equipment and pipelines CJSC. In total 6 such reservoirs will be installed. The height of which is 12 m, diameter -10 m.
