Oil companies have suggested Putin increasing tax burden of Gazprom

​The oil companies have suggested increasing tax burden for the gas sector to fulfill the budget.

On September 22nf V. Putin held a meeting dedicated to budget. He ordered to work out the issue of additional income to the budget made by companies – exporters as a result of the rouble’s devaluation.

V. Putin asked the Government to consider the tax rise for oil companies, which in their turn suggest collecting money from gas companies.

There are no details concerning the idea of the oil companies referring to the tax burden on the gas sector. According to the interlocutor of Vedomosti, meanwhile this is only an idea, it is not clear if the Government supports it. The source also said that it is about Gazprom as only this company makes the devaluation profit.
