Aker Arctic has to reject from some orders in Russia because of the sanctions and problems with financing

The Finnish Aker Arctic, operating on the market of ice technologies for the construction of vessels for geological exploration in severe climatic conditions, has to reject participation in a number of new projects for Russian companies, regarding the manufacture and equipment of drilling vessels for the use at the Arctic shelf. The sales and marketing manager of the company A.Uuskalio said to the agency.

He has explained that the current contracts were being implemented. But the conclusion of new contracts, the company faces problems with financing on the part of the customers besides sanctions. It is due to the receipt of long-term crediting. The company works with ship constructors in Russia, whose clients are Russian companies, developing the shelf. So, Rosneft is not a direct client of Aker Arctic.
