“Gazpromneft” is about to increase its presence at the Russian shelf, but again as an operator. The company holds negotiations on a start of operation at the Chukchee Sea. “Rosneft” criticized the company for its intention to approach the shelf more than once. As a result, the state-run company has managed to divide the sphere of influence on this sea with Gazprom by peaceful means. However, the question, if Gazpromneft has a right to develop the shelf all by itself, not as an operator, is still being discussed, Kommersant writes.
