Norilsk Nickel invested 20 mln roubles into gas trapping system at the enterprises of Kola GMK

Gas transfer coupling into sulfuric department was put in operation as per design at the refining shop of the Kola mining-and-smelting company (subsidiary of GMK “Norilsk Nickel”). The investment of the company into the project made up more than 20 million roubles.

Gas transfer coupling is an integral part of the gas pipe, fully updated in 2012. It is for the distribution of sulphur dioxide gas flow, which comes from the fluid-bed furnace. Functioning as both collector and distributor, it simplifies the gas supply system to the sulfuric department, especially at transference from one sulphuric acid system to another.
