Russian metallurgical companies to fully cover the need of domestic market in zinced steel

Following Severstal, MMK constructs additional capacities on the production of zinced rolled products.
In 2 years a new line on the production of zinced rolled products with the capacity of over 360 thousand tons a year will be launched at MMK. MMK said that the company had signed a contract with SMS group (Germany) for the supply of equipment for the new continuous hot-zincing unit.
In conformity with the contract, SMS group not only ships the necessary equipment, spare parts and technical documentation to MMK, but will also render services on the training and programming, will hold assembly works and prepare the object for the launch. The value of the contract is EUR 25 mln.
