Vice President of RAS A. Nekipelov has been elected to the post of the Chairman of Rosneft’s Board of Directors

The Vice President of RAS, A. Nekipelov has been elected to the post of the Chairman of Rosneft’s Board of Directors. He became the Chairman of the company’s Board for the first time temporarily, in April 2011, when the post was left by the current President of Rosneft, I. Sechin, who was the Vice Premier of Russia then. His leave was connected with the order of the former President of Russia Medvedev that the federal officials should be excluded from the Boards of Directors of state companies. Later Mr. Sechin was not elected to the new Government formed in May 2012, after which he became able again to return to Rosneft’s Board of Directors.
