In H1 of 2013, KazMunaiGas Exploration Production increased its oil production by 1%

In the first six months of 2013, KazMunaiGas Exploration Production (KMG EP) produced 6092 thousand tons of oil (249 thousand barrels per day) that is by 1% more than in the same period of 2012. As the company reported, this volume included shares of KMG EP in Kazgermunai (KGM), CCEL and PetroKazakhstan Inc (PKI).

According to KMG EP, in January-June of the current year its subsidiary Ozenmunaigas (OMG) produced 2539 thousand tons (103 thousand barrels per day) that is by 3% more than in the same period of 2012. Another subsidiary Embamunaigas (EMG) produced 1401 thousand tons (57 thousand barrels per day) that is by 2% more than in the same period of 2012. As a result, the total volume of their production made up 3940 thousand tons (160 thousand barrels per day) that is by 3% more than in the same period of 2012, in accordance with the production plan.
