In Q1, export of diamonds from Russia grew by 21.5%

In the first quarter of 2014, the exports of rough diamonds from Russia grew by 21.5% as compared to the same period in 2013 to 12.01 million carats, and the imports fell 2.6 times to 8.04 million carats, the Russian Ministry of Finance reports.

In value terms, the export increased by 20.6% to $1.41 billion, and the import decreased two times to $16.5 million.
