Kazakh Government reduces MET rate for the Karazhanbas oil field

The Government of Kazakhstan has included the Karazhanbas gas field (the Mangistau region of Kazakhstan) in the list of high-viscosity fields and reduced the MET rate for it, the decree of the Government, published on Saturday, reports.

According to the document, the Karazhanbas field was included in the "list of hydrocarbon deposits that are qualified as low-margin, high-viscosity, watered, low-yield and depleted".
