In December 2014 – January 2015, Gazprom will close the contracts for construction of the third and the fourth pipe runs of the South Stream pipeline, the member of the management board of Gazprom, the CEO of South Stream Transport (the operator of the offshore division of South Stream) O. Aksyutin says. They have closed the orders for supplies of over 150,000 pipes for the first 2 pipe runs of the offshore division of South Stream and the contracts for their laying. The contract for construction of the first of 4 pipe runs of the offshore division of South Stream costing €2 billion was closed with Saipem S.p.A in March. In April, the operator closed the contract for laying of the second run with the Swiss Allseas Group and the contract with Saipem for provision of construction.
