Sovcomflot, Mitsui, Teekay LNG to build fleet for Yamal LNG

Yamal LNG has made a short list of shipping companies, which will ship LNG from the Yuzhno-Tambesikoye deposit and build vessels for the transportation of the fuel.

Sovcomflot, Mitsui and Canadian Teekay LNG are in the list. The companies will build a fleet for Yamal LNG. The fleet will consist of sixteen ARC7 ice-class vessels. LNG tankers of Arc7 class are meant for year-round supply of liquefied natural gas to the market. The contract is valued at $5 billion. According to the information, all three companies might participate in the construction of the fleet.
