The gas transportation system to Europe via Ukraine is planned to be sold to the U.S.

All this is necessary to dictate their terms to Gazprom.

In any case, this is how Mykola Azarov, a former prime minister of the Ukraine up to 2014, observes the situation. Azarov states: everything seats in now. Up to this point, it was unclear why the EU, that gets a third of its gas, does not invest in the pipeline. And now, thanks to the fact of anarchy in Ukraine, the United States has the opportunity to get pipeline FREE, only in exchange for some personal services. Meanwhile, as it was already mentioned, 30 % of Russian gas exports to Europe are flagged for this control.
