The Caspian region has rich energy resources. The proved oil reserves are 3.5-4%, gas - 11.7 % of the total volume of all the world's reserves, Natig Aliyev, the Azerbaijan Energy Minister stated at the I International Caspian Energy Forum held in Baku.
According to him, currently in the Caspian region only 1.4 % of proved reserves are consumed.
"This suggests that the Caspian region has a great potential of energy exports", - the minister stated.
