The consolidated debt of SOCAR reaches almost $7 billion

The consolidated debt of SOCAR is currently $6.8 billion, SOCAR’s Vice President for Economic Issues, Suleiman Gasymov reported.

According to him, $1.1 billion of this amount are the capital investments of the company and roughly $1 billion are debts to foreign companies.

“The money, attracted by SOCAR, was invested into large-scale projects. Over $1 billion was attracted from the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan and was invested into projects in Turkey, about $1 billion – into the new ship-building yard of SOCAR.
