Chernomorneftegaz is unlikely to join Gazprom

Chernomorneftegaz, the largest industrial enterprise of Crimea, is unlikely to join Gazprom and will develop as an independent company, leading engineer of Chernomorneftegaz Andrei Palyura thinks.

“I think, neither Gazprom, nor any other company will affiliate us. We are working. Everything is all right. Of course, we need time for development, but we produce as much, as we need,” – Palyura said to journalists on the margins of the Oil and Gas Summit of the CIS.

Previously, during the summit, he reported that the company planned to extract 2 billion cubic meters of gas this year that is equal to the consumption volume of Crimea and maintained plans of further increase in the production. According to him, the task, assigned by the Russian Government, to double the production will allow the company to become a leader among producers in the Black Sea
