Russia was ahead of Saudi Arabia by oil extraction in January

In January 2016 Russia was ahead of Saudi Arabia by the volumes of oil extraction producing on average 10.466 mln barrels a day.

Currently the oil producing countries discuss the idea of freezing of oil extraction in 2016 at the level of January 2016 aiming for the stabilization of the situation in the market. The final decision is planned to be made at the meeting in Doha (Qatar) on April 17th.

Saudi Arabia in January 2016 extracted 10.091 mln barrels of oil a day. OPEC in January 2016 extracted 32.335 mln barrels a day, Iraq - 4.384 mln barrels.

In December 2015 Russia extracted 10.327 mln barrels a day and was also the first, being ahead of Saudi Arabia (10.01 mln barrels).

Oil export from Russia in January 2016 fell by 2.3% against January 2015 to 19.2 mln tons. the specific weight of oil export in the total volume of the Russian export in January 2016 made up 25.3%, in the export of the fuel and energy resources – 38.7% (in January 2015 – 28% and 39.1%).
