Russia is among the top three countries in the production of gold in 2015

Gold production in Russia made up 294.3 tons in 2015. So, it is the world’s third largest gold producer after China and Australia. Leaders of gold production in Russia are Krasnoyarsk region (49.3 tons), Chukotka Autonomous Area (30.5tons) and Amur region (28.5 tons). Production increased in Yakutia (8.1%) and the Sakhalin region (+1800%) due to the development of production on the Kuril Islands.
