Project of a metallurgical mini-plant in Saint-Petersburg has passed Government expertise

​The investment project of Mera-Steel on the construction of a metallurgical plant has a positive conclusion of the Government expertise. A positive conclusion is the confirmation of the constructed object’s meeting safety requirements. By the end of Q1 geodetic, geological and engineering research works have been completed at the site.

It is planned to put the plant into operation in Q2 2017. In 2 years an enterprise with the capacity of 350 thousand tons of reinforcing bars will be constructed in the Kolpino industrial area.

The executive director of Mera-Steel, Y. Lukanin, said that the realized project will allow to accelerate the development of the technologically modern production capacities in the region: “Industrial are Kolpino will have a new production capacity. We will also contribute to the foundation of work places, and construction companies of the North-Western region will have a new supplier of high-quality fittings that will react as quickly as possible to the requirements of customers”.
