Russia moves aside Saudi Arabia in the struggle for Chinese oil market

For the second time this year Russia has left Saudi Arabia behind, become the largest supplier of oil to China, the Bloomberg reports.

In September, the largest economy in Asia imported the record volume of 4.04 million tons of oil or about 988 000 barrels per day from Russia. The growth as compared to September of last year was 42%, and as compared to August of this year – 31%, according to data, released by the Customs Administration in Beijing on Wednesday. Oman took the third place in the ranking of the main suppliers, and Angola, ranked the second in August, dropped to the fourth place.
