In September, the volume of import of polycarbonate (optical and sheet) in Russia decreased 2.8 times as compared with August and made up 1.5 thousand tons. In comparison with September of 2014, this figure was reduced by 48.6%. On the whole, in January-September of 2015, Russia imported 19.5 thousand tons of polycarbonate, which is 1.7 times less than in 2014. The reduction of external supply was largely caused by the growth of its value in relation to the volatility of exchange rates and a decrease in the solvency of many Russian processors.
