President of Azerbaijan issues the challenges in the energy sphere for the next five years

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev issued the challenges in the energy sphere for the next five years during his inauguration speech, SOCAR’s Head Rovnag Abdullaev reported to journalists on Monday.
The main and strategic task, according to Abdullaev, is implementation of projects within provision of Azerbaijani gas export to Europe.
In particular, this takes the second stage of the Azerbaijani gas condensate field Shah-Deniz development, the extension of the South Caucasus gas pipeline, construction of the Trans Anadolu (TANAP) and Trans Adriatic (TAP) gas pipelines, Abdullaev said.
