Belorusneft-Sibir to extract oil and gas in Yamal

Belorusneft-Sibir purchased Yangpur company extracting oil and gas in Yamal. The state company paid 3.575 billion RUR for the right to extract Russian oil and gas.

Yangpur (Yamalo-Nenets autonomous district, Purovsk region, Purpe settlement) holds four licenses for exploration and extraction of oil and gas. In 2013 it is going to extract 67 thousand tons of oil, 63.9 million cubic metres of gas and 6.9 thousand tons of gas condensate. During the crisis the company turned bankrupt and its assets were put up for sale.

Belorusneft-Sibir won the tender for the oil and gas company on September 24th. On October 21 FAS published the decision to consider the application of Belorusneft-Sibir (Yamalo-Nenets autonomous district, Gubkinsky town) for purchase of the main manufacturing facilities of Yangpur LLC. Later FAS satisfied the application. The General Director of Yangpur CJSC Mikhail Semenov says, the transaction will be completed by the end of October. Russian ARTO also pretended to Yangpur. The initial price made up 2.8 billion RUR. Byelorussia paid 3.575 billion RUR for 100% of Yangpurneft and its manufacturing assets.
