Azerbaijani to consider opportunity to increase planned gas supplies to Greece

Azerbaijan will consider the possibility to increase the planned supplies of natural gas to Greece, the Prime Minister of Greece, Antonis Samaras reported after the meeting with the Azerbaijani President, Ilhan Aliyev in Baku.

According to the Greek newspaper Proto theme, Samaras asked to consider the increased of the planned supply of Azerbaijani gas in case of the termination of the Russian hydrocarbons supplies because of the crisis in the Ukraine. Currently, it’s planned to supply 1 billion cubic meters per year via the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP). In turn, Aliyev said that "the technical details of the proposal should be discussed by responsible Ministers".
