Alekperov: Formation hydraulic fracturing is weak point of Russian oil industry in connection with US sanctions

Hydraulic fracturing is a weak point of the Russian oil industry in connection with the sanctions, imposed by the United States. This was stated by head of Lukoil, Vagit Alekperov at the meeting of the Russian Prime Minister, Dmitry Medvedev with representatives of the business community.

"25% of our oil is currently produced by hydraulic fracturing. These are units, which can’t be actually made anywhere, but in the United States," - said Alekperov. According to him, "today this is the finest place" where harm can be done.
