“AFK Sistema's Yevtushenkov bought stolen property”

The Ex-auditor of the Accounts Chamber, Vladislav Ignatov told the Izvestia, why there were violation in Bashneft’s activity, he found in 2003, he didn’t bring perpetrators to the dock.

In 2003, the Chamber of Accounts audited the financial-economic activity of Bashneft, and established the fact of the theft of shares from the state. According to the inspection of the joint venture by auditor, criminal case was initiated, although later it was suspended. In spring of 2014, it became known about the criminal case, which involves the defendants including the head of AFK Sistema, Vladimir Yevtushenkov,the former head of Bashneft, Ural Rakhimov and the businessman Levon Airapetyan - they are accused of stealing shares of companies, included in the fuel and energy complex of Bashkortostan, and their legalization (p. 4 of the article 160, p. 4 of the article. 174.1 and p. 4 of the article 174 of the Criminal Code). As a part of the investigation, the Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested the shares of Bashneft, Ufaorgsintez and the Bashkir power grid company, owned by AFK Systema. The correspondent of the Izvestia, Anastasia Kashevarova has learned from the former auditor of the Accounts Chamber, Vladislav Ignatov, who carried out the inspection of Bashneft in 2003, why Vladimir Yevtushenko should return Bashneft to the state and how the leaders of the region sold the government property in violation of the law more than 10 years ago.
