Gazprom does not use coal rates in its price formulas for European consumers, Gazprom Export claims. Coal does not influence gas prices because coal rates are not used in the formula instead of fuel oil and gasoil as a substitute.
Earlier, the mass-media reported that Gazprom allegedly introduced coal rates into some formulas for gas exorted to Europe, in connected with the growth in coal supplies to power generation needs in the USA.
