In the first six months, Russian Railways invested 1.9 billion rubles into section Tobolk-Surgut

Russian Railways has continued to implement investment project “Development of the Tobolsk - Surgut section" at the Sverdlovsk railway, provided for construction of the second continuous railway at this section.

In the first six months of 2014, the company invested 1.9 billion rubles in the project. Construction of 33.7 km roadbed was carried out, 14 km of railway, 24 sets of crossing pieces, over 530 km of cables of auto-lock and connection, 10 pipe-culverts were laid.

In general, in 2014, Russian Railways’ total investments in the project are planned to be 10.2 billion rubles.
