$1.46 billion of direct investments are allocated for production of crude oil and natural gas in Kazakhstan

In general, in the first quarter of 2014, direct investment of Kazakhstan made up $2.221 billion. The largest sectors of the economy, where money were invested, were the mining and quarrying sectors ($1.67 billion, 75.4% of all direct investments), $1. 46 billion of which were invested into production of crude oil and natural gas.
