Oil reserves in Uzbekistan to decrease by 17% by 2022, and gas reserves to increase by 5.5%

By 2022, oil reserves in Uzbekistan will decrease to 485.3 million barrels from 582.1 million barrels in 2012, and gas reserves will increase by 5.5% - from 1.8 trillion cubic meters to 1.9 trillion cubic meters, the agency Fast Market Research (FMR) reports on Monday.

“Oil and gas consumption will fall because of gas supply to external markets for fulfillment of the country’s export obligations, decrease of domestic demand for the final products and limit of fuel import,” – FMR’s analysts consider.
