Lukoil to make an exception and take a loan for a GPP in Uzbekistan

Lukoil considers an opportunity of attraction of financing for the project of construction of a gas processing plant (GPP) in Uzbekistan, chief Vice-President for finance of Lukoil, A. Matytsyn, said.

The total value of the contract by the GPP is about $2.6 bln.

Previously he said that Lukoil doesn’t need to attract the additional loans until the end of 2016.

The company previously was issued loans for $2 bln.

On the results of Q1 2016 serious monetary funds were accumulated on the company’s accounts – about $4.5 bln.

Anyway Lukoil treats moderately the attraction of loans.

Loans themselves (for financing of investment programs or realization of dividend policy) are not the goal of the company.

In this connection Lukoil considers an opportunity of project financing of its foreign projects in Uzbekistan as the only loan.
