"Exploration and Production" KazMunaiGas" opens a new reservoir in the Rozhkovskoye field.

JSC "Exploration and Production" KazMunaiGas" announces the discovery of the new deposits in the sediments of the Carboniferous periodof the Bashkir tier at the Rozhkovskoye field.

In particular, when tested layers in sediments of the Bashkir tier at the U-24 well, drilled in 2013 in the north-eastern wing of the deposit, the inflow of light dry crude oil and gas with maximum flow rates of 1.9 thousand boe/day and 6 million ft3/day respectively at the 24/64" (9.5 mm) choke was obtained

It is worth noting that the earlier exploration work at the site was aimed at finding the hydrocarbons in Bobrikovsk and Tourneysk horizons. Accordingly, the stocks of the new deposits were not included in the KMG EP audited reserves, which were made by Miller and Lents, LTD at the end of 2013. Thus, obtaining a gushing flow of the new deposits in the Bashkir tier increases the prospect of increasing the reserves of the Rozhkovskoye deposit. The quantitative evaluation of the growth stocks will be determined by the results of further exploration.
