EU to develop a plan in case of the gas supply from Russia termination.

In connection with the gas dispute between Russia and Ukraine, the EU intends to develop a set of measures aimed at overcoming the energy shortage in the case of the supply of Russian gas being terminated. On Wednesday, May 21th, Günther Oettinger, the EU Energy Commissioner, stated at the International Energy Conference in Brussels, that the European Commission document on the security of the EU energy supply will be presented "within one or two weeks". According to the European Commissioner the prescribed plan will contain information "about the diversification of sources, routes and suppliers".
