Tatarstan to intend to reach annual production of bitumen oil in the amount of 2 million tons

Tatarstan plans to increase the production of bitumen oil to 2 million tons per year in the near future, maintained the volume of the main oil production at the level of 32 million tons per year, the republic’s president Rustam Minnikhanov reported at the plenary meeting “Energy of innovation development” of the XVth Tomsk innovation forum Innovus-2013 on Wednesday.
“Each region must rely on potential that it has and develop spheres, in which it is competitive. Oil production and car building are such sectors in Tatarstan,” – Minnikhanov said.
