Severstal, one of the largest world vertically integrated steel-smelting and mining companies, has supplied about 2 000 tons of massive plate to the Volga pipe plant (a part of TMK) for the production of large diameter pipes for an order from Novatek for the construction of necessary facilities at the Yurkharov field.
Rolled metal of the K60 steel grade, designed for an operating pressure in the pipe of 11.8 Mpa, was produced at the mill 5000 of LPC -3 (Kolpino) in February of this year. Welded large diameter pipes (1020 mm and 1220 mm) , made from it at the Volga pipe plant, were shipped to the customer for a booster station equipment at the Yurkharov field.
