LNG export monopoly of Gazprom to be ended by the summer

By July the Ministry of Energy will develop the legal changes making it possible for independent producers of LNG to enter external markets.

The project of the Ministry of Energy aimed at gradual removal of legal limitations of LNG export has been governmentally approved and submitted to the Presidential Administration. A source in the government reports, all necessary documents allowing independent LNG producers to external markets will be prepared by the middle of summer. Gazprom is against the decision and believes, the matter is not yet resolved.
