Gazprom approved investment feasibility study of LPG plant in Primorye

The management of OAO “Gazprom” has approved the investment feasibility study into the LPG plant construction project in Primorye and transferred the project “Vladivostok-LPG” into the investment stage.

The project “Vladivostok-LPG” considers the construction of a liquefied petroleum gas plant in the Khasansky district on Lomonosov peninsula (Perevoznaya bay). The plant consists of 3 technological lines of 5 million tons of LPG a year each. The first line is expected to be put in operation in 2018.

The resource base for the plant is going to be the gas from the Sakhalin gas production centre, as well as from the Yakutsk and Irkutsk centres.

The operating units of “Gazprom” are ordered to prepare a plan of top-priority actions on an implementation of the project. The creation of a special purpose company and the carrying out of commercial negotiations with LPG purchasers is expected in 2013.
