Construction of the "South Stream" remains a priority for the Government of Bulgaria.

Construction of the "South Stream" pipeline at the moment remains a priority for the Bulgarian government. On January 21 the Bulgarian Cabinet approved the "Program of the Government for Sustainable Development of Bulgaria for the period from 2014 to 2018", where in the "Energy" section the intention to build a South Stream "pipeline" "in full compliance with the draft European legislation, in dialogue with the European Commission and proven economic benefits" was written.
