Ministry of Finance does not expect the fuel-and-energy sector to switch over to excess-profits tax

The Ministry of Finance does not prepare amendments to the legislation, connected with the shift of the fuel-and-energy sector to Excess-profits tax or financials tax. The deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation S.Shatalov said about it.
“No, we are not amending anything now. We chose another way. We have diversification on tax benefits. We took individual decisions and set an acceptable level of profitability for separate regions and deposits,” Shatalov said.
