Russia and the Ukraine to wage a large-scale “gas war” till the end of the year

Kiev is ready to become a co-investor of the TANAP pipeline, via which it’s planned to supply Azerbaijani gas to Turkey and Europe. This was stated by the Ukrainian Minister of Energy and Coal Industry, Eduard Stavitsky by results of negotiations of Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Viktor Yanukovych. The meeting took place on November 18th during the official visit of the Azerbaijani President to the Ukraine.

This perspective, particularly concerning relations with Russia, was commented on the Chief of the Azerbaijani Centre of Oil Research and expert on the oil and gas industry Ilham Shaban.
