In H1, Akhmetov’s mining and metallurgic company made a profit of $653 million

Metinvest B.V. ( the Netherlands), the holding company of the Akhmetov’s mining and metallurgic interests, Metinvest made a net profit of $653 million for H1 2014, by 46% more than for H1 2013 ($446 million).

According to the non-audited consolidated results by ISA at the Irish SE made public on Tuesday, the growth in net profit is connected with growth in operational profit by 70% that was partially evened out by growth in financial expenses and profit tax.

Revenue reduced by 8% to $6.023 billion.

Net margin increased by 4 basis points to 11%.
