EU is about to hold the next round of talks on Transcaspian gas pipeline

The EU is about to hold another round of negotiations with Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan on the construction of the Transcaspian gas pipeline. The Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan N.Aliev said on Monday, Trend reports.

“The EU commissioner G.Oettinger suggested holding trilateral negotiations in Brussels. But the president of Turkmenistan could not attend because of some certain difficulties. He (Oettinger) has assured me that the meeting will take place soon,” Aliev said.

The negotiations on Transcaspian gas pipeline between the EU, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan started in September 2011.
