The Ukrainian thermal power plants to be left without coal in 40 days.

The coal supplies to the Ukrainian TPPs may stop completely for 40 days due to the interruptions in the operation of the railroads, provoked by the armed conflict in the east of the country, American television channel CNBC reported overnight into Thursday.

In its message the channel refers to Robert Bensch, who is managing the Pelicourt partner,s which owns major assets in the Ukrainian energy sector. "Donbass Energy" made a similar statement.

As noted earlier, due to the destruction of the railway infrastructure the main coal loading stations are not running in the Donetsk region. On the eve of the autumn-winter heating season the issue about sending goods, particularly coal to the fuel and energy complex enterprises, sharply arises in the Donetsk railway.
